The hypergrowth of some insurtech players, fuelled by successive fundraising over the 2010-2021 period, does not, however, solve the problems of the health insurance system, particularly that of its financial fragility. The signal from the slowdown in fundraising is clear: it is now up to the tech players to demonstrate the profitability of their company and the products they distribute. This requires a dialogue between all stakeholders: insurers, practitioners and broker distributors.”
